APPLE CIDER VINEGAR RINSE

If you have never heard of placing vinegar in  your hair?  You may think that it is some sort of new age bohemian practice. But you would be wrong.  I'm certain that you are as shocked as I was to find out that it is actually and ancient practice.  That's right Apple Cider Vinegar with "the mother" is the one that I like to use and it is available at your local WHOLE FOODS, or health food store.  If you can't find it there then you can go to the Bragg's website and order from there.  They also have some wonderful information on how and why the vinegar works well to condition your hair, possibly relieve dandruff and help relieve bacteria's on the scalp.  If you are still perming your hair and have not transitioned to non-chemically treated hair, then a ACV rinse can also help to seal the cuticles in your hair shaft and bring back the shine, for PENNIES!

There are a ton of fun recipes to try out, but I tend to stick with the simple but effective, 10oz. of water mixed with 2 tbsp. of Braggs ACV.

Have fun! Let me know how it works out for you.  Comment and Send pics!

Cocolaxer

Here's a little something I found on youtube.  I've changed the recipe around a bit after some research.  At best it might relax your curl pattern just a bit, at the least, it is a wonderful deep conditioner.  Be sure to use organic ingredients if you really want the full effect.  You can find all the ingredients at WHOLE FOODS!

2tbs coconut butter/creme
2tbs coconut oil
6oz. yogurt
1 lemon (1oz. juice)
(to increase the strength of the cocolaxer use full fat yogurt and higher acid citris(sp) meyer lemon -->key lime)

apply as you would a relaxer from back to front. Use an applicator brush or fingers.

Comb through beginning with ends to root and then back again.

Place plastic cap.

wet a tea towel and microwave 1 minute

wrap towel around plactic cap

Place plastic shopping bag over towel

sit under medium heat dryer for 15-30 min.

shampoo/condition/ style

Make sure that your ingredients are at room temperature when mixing and once mixed let rest for 30-1hour covered with plastic wrap before application.

That's all there is too it. Hope you enjoy. Let me know how it goes if you use it and send pics.
